Nkana Face San Pedro Test

Twelve time Zambian champions will defend Zambian continental pride in the CAF Confederation Cup this afternoon in the first leg of the pre-group stage encounter when they host San Pedro of Ivory Coast.

Nkana is one of the two remaining flag carriers of Zambian hopes after Green Buffaloes and Green Eagles were eliminated in the previous round.

Coach Beston Chambeshi will have to master a plan for a strong home result to ensure the return leg is eased.

Nkana has the power to steamroll over any team on their day with the crown prince of Wusakile Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba expected to lead the attack alongside skipper Walter Bwalya.

There have been whispers about the in-form Harrison Chisala also adding up options for Nkana.

Nkana were dumped out of the CAF Champions League by Clatous Chama’s Simba FC.

Kickoff is at 15:00 hours with ZNBC beaming the match live.

Zesco will host Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
